Terms and Conditions

PAYMENT
Classes will be billed on a monthly basis. Payment must be received before the first day of the month or your child may not be allowed to attend class.
Late payments will be subject to a HK$100 penalty.
You may not deduct class fees from the tuition fees.

ENROLMENT
To enrol your child in a class you must submit the registration form, payment and receive confirmation from us. Registration cannot be completed without receipt of payment. Cheque or bank deposit will be accepted (not cash).
Lisa Pang International Program operates on a “first-come first-served” basis, and will only allocate teachers once full payment has been made. All lesson enquiries and bookings should be made through our administration staff.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND BAD WEATHER

We will not hold classes on Hong Kong public holidays (except Sundays), or when a Typhoon No. 8 or Black Rainstorm signal has been issued.
If a Typhoon No. 8 signal is issued during class, the class will stop immediately and students should return home. If a Black Rainstorm signal is issued during class, students will return home once the class has finished.
If the signal for the Black Rainstorm or Typhoon No.8 is lowered:
Before 7am - the centre will open at 9am
Before 12pm - the centre will open at 2pm
After 12pm - the centre will remain closed.
If classes are cancelled due to adverse weather conditions there will be no make-up classes or refunds.
If class resumes after the signal for Black Rainstorm or Typhoon No.8 has been lowered and students do not attend, there will be no make-up classes or refunds.
Students will not be notified individually of the weather situation. Parents should monitor the Hong Kong Observatory weather reports.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

In the interests of others, students are required to wear a mask when they are sick.
We have the right to send your child home if they display any symptoms of illness, and to only allow them to return to class with a doctor’s note.

PRIVATE LESSONS

To ensure that private lessons are carried out effectively, students and parents should let our administration staff know if there are any topics or specific areas that they would like to focus on, either upon enrolment or before the first lesson. Lisa Pang International Program will not bear any responsibility for a lesson not matching the student’s expectations if he or she fails to provide such information. If teachers are not given specific instructions by the student or parents, they will prepare lessons using their own materials.
Please let us know 24 hours in advance if you plan on cancelling a private lesson, otherwise you will be charged.

MAKE-UP CLASS ARRANGEMENT

Make-up classes are available by special arrangement, and must be done in classes with at least one other student. If no make-up class can be arranged, we will not issue refunds.
Parents must inform us of the need for a make-up class 24 hours in advance or we may not be able to accommodate the request.
We arrange make-up classes according to ages. Starting from January 2015, students must do a make-up class either in the same week that they are absent, or the make-up class will be conducted in a class with a different age group. If students do the make-up class in a more expensive class, they must pay the fee difference. Make-up class credits cannot be combined for private classes.
There will be no make-up classes during the summer or Holiday Workshops, and they cannot be taken during special, seasonal classes.

STUDENTS

We have the right to exclude any student who is being disruptive or who we deem unsuitable for our programme. This also includes students or families who do not adhere to our policies.
We have the right to withdraw any student if:
a) he or she behaves in a way that is disruptive and deemed by the teacher to infringe upon other students’ right to learn; and
b) he or she continues to behave in similar ways after repeated warnings.
If a student is dismissed or requested to withdraw due to behavioural problems, no refund will be made.

STAFF

As employees of Lisa Pang International Program, teachers may only teach at our centre. We will exclude any student whose parents have solicited one of the Lisa Pang International Program teachers or staff to conduct private tutoring outside our premises without our permission.

Teachers are only responsible for academic matters and their teaching schedules are subject to Lisa Pang International Program timetables. Lisa Pang International Program employees are not allowed to give their phone numbers or email addresses to, or to meet with parents and students outside of the premises. If you would like to discuss scheduling or payment related issues please approach our administration staff.
We reserve the right to arrange for one of the other Lisa Pang International Program teachers to teach your child if their teacher is not available due to unforeseen circumstances.
