“Have you eaten rice yet? ™ ” International Youth Cultural Development Project
The “Have you eaten rice yet?™” International Youth Cultural Development Project was launched with the aim to help ethnic minority teenagers integrate into society and to have better academic performance as well as improving graduation rates.
The project was supported by the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Hong Kong and Consulate General of Nepal, Hong Kong. We are very grateful for the letter of appreciation from the two consulates.
Ben’s introduction
My name is Ben Rana. As an ethnic minority ambassador of LPIP, I am always working towards the better representation of our community with the help of members here in LPIP. With all the time I have spent here in LPIP I have come to understand that it is not about where we come from or what ethnic background we belong to, it is about understanding and supporting one another. The kids here in LPIP call me Ben Bro (Ben哥哥), even though we have different beliefs and values I am still accepted as one of their own. So I am very proud and honored to be a part of LPIP.
Good news! A 7 in IELTS! Within only 2 month’s time, Chancellor Pang used her trademark teaching to train our ambassador from Nepal, Ben Gor, to score a 7 in the IELTS. According to Leap Scholar, such score could gain admission to top-ranked universities. The process was difficult but as usual, Chancellor Pang has high EQ and never give up on her students. Ben is a fine example showing that one’s culture is not a barrier to success !

Good news! ? My training method ‘2 sided debate™️’, that I trademarked in China, is recognised by Urban Dictionary (American online dictionary), and my definitions was acknowledges as the ‘Top Definition’! I have been using the trademark teaching to train scholars successfully, not only did it help my students enter top universities worldwide like Oxford and Cambridge University, but also as the Chancellor, I used it to train students of the ranked 1 school in Xianju, China!
According to the New York Times, word definitions in the Urban Dictionary are often used in the US court to help distinguish the meanings of modern vocabulary.
I will continue to do my best training students with the 2 sided debate™️!

As the Council member of The Federation of World-wide Pang Clan Association (Eastern Guangdong Region) , I would like to congratulate the successful holding of the 2020 Xingning Pang Clan Education Fund Awarding Ceremony by Chairman Pang Yuxiang. My best wishes goes to the 46 scholars who were admitted to China’s top universities! The ceremony was reported by the Xingning TV Station. It was a pity that I couldn't attend this year's ceremony because of the pandemic.

Hard work, perseverance and goodness pays off! Congratulations to my Form 6 student, Eric Suen, from St. Paul’s College who receives The Joint School Scholarship for BAFS and The Scholarship for academic excellence for 6 years in a row . I have been teaching Eric since he was 8 years old and it is my privilege to see my students growing up from a little kid to a mature young man. I hope my students can become role models and contribute to society after they have graduated.

Unexpected surprise! A student informed Chancellor Pang of the good news: After Chancellor Pang’s 3 months training back in 2017, TWGHs Wong Fung Ling College has moved up the ranks in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) banding from Band 3C in 2017 to 3B in the 2018!
(HKDSE is the Hong Kong's university entrance examination)

“Band” originally refers to the 3 bands into which the primary 6 pupils are divided by the EDB according to the academic performance for Secondary School Places Allocation. The most outperforming pupils are put into Band 1. Later, many parents would like to classify the secondary schools by using their HKDSE performance and the admission rate to the universities. Each band is then further divided into A, B and C for the top, middle and bottom of a band respectively.

「組別」原指教育局為了中一派位，將小六學生按學業成績分成的 3 個組別，成績最佳的學生會被編入組別 1。但後來不少家長會根據中學的文憑試表現及入大學比率來衡量中學的組別，而每個組別又細分為 A、B 及 C，分別指該組別的頭、中及尾。
